Getting to the Big Apple

Planes: John F. Kennedy or LaGuardia Airports are the closest airports. Newark Airport also works (but requires a bit more transportation to get to the hotel).

LaGuardia: our personal fave (Terminal B has an excellent water show that even adults (ahem, Deirdre) love!). Uber, Lyft, and Taxis are an easy transport option from there. To take public transport - take the free LaGuardia Link Q70 shuttle bus to the Jackson Heights -Roosevelt Avenue/74 St-Broadway subway stop (runs every 8-10 minutes). From there, hop on the F or R trains towards Manhattan, getting off at Jay Street-MetroTech or Court Street.

JFK: Uber, Lyft, and Taxis are an easy option to bring you into the city. For public transport, take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station and then hop a LIRR train to Atlantic Terminal. Once you arrive, you can either walk to your hotel (~20 minutes) or take a 2 or 3 Manhattan bound train directly next to the LIRR entrance 3 stops to Borough Hall station.

Newark: Uber, Lyft, or a Taxi also work from Newark and will streamline traveling into the city. For public transit enthusiasts - take the AirTrain to the NJ Transit station (remembering to buy a NJ Transit ticket when you get there) and hop on a New York Penn station-bound train. From Penn Station, take the 2, 3, A, or C line downtown to the Borough Hall (2/3) or Jay Street-MetroTech (A/C) stops!

Trains: Amtrak goes to Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station - it's an easy subway ride downtown on the 2, 3, A, or C lines (e.g., the downtown express trains) to the hotels from there!

Automobiles: so we're New Yorkers and therefore do not have a car - we believe the best way to explore the city is on foot or by subway! But if you're really a car-fanatic/feel like braving the New York traffic, the hotels have parking available if you decide to drive in.

Exploring the City

Subway: One of the things we love about living in Brooklyn is the easy access to so many subway lines. The closest subway stations to the hotels are Borough Hall (2/3/4/5), Court Street (R), Jay Street-MetroTech (A/C/F/R), and Hoyt-Schermerhorn (A/C/G). From there you can get anywhere in the city!

To pay the fare ($2.90/ride), you can use your contactless credit or debit card, smart phone, wearable device, or an OMNY card (purchased online or at a designated station kiosk) to tap and go at the turnstyles.

Walk: One of the beauties of New York (other than the public transport system) is how walkable it is. The hotels are a stone's throw away from Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge should you want some beautiful views of the NYC skyline, and Dumbo and Brooklyn Bridge Park are just minutes away. So strap on your walking shoes and get exploring!

One exception: it is NOT a good idea to walk to Liberty Warehouse or home after the party. Instead, you can take an Uber/Lyft or take one of the shuttle buses we will be providing to/from the Marriott and Hilton in downtown Brooklyn.

Taxis/Ubers/Lyft: Rideshare and taxis go throughout the city, including to downtown Brooklyn. But fair warning, sometimes it can be expensive to get from Manhattan to Brooklyn and vice versa, so we recommend taking the subway (or even walking across either Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridge) instead.
